www.cks.library.nhs.uk Clinical Knowledge Summaries. A comprehensive UK National Health Service site. The patient information section is particularly useful, offering advice for a number of conditions.

www.jr2.ox.ac.uk/bandolier This site is directed primarily at medical professionals. However, the Health Living Zone makes for interesting reading for those who want evidence-based information on how to live a healthy life.

www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk A public access website run by the Scottish NHS providing information on healthy travel, including the immunisations required for destinations throughout the world and how to stay healthy once you get there.

www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk Another UK NHS site. Contains a wealth of information including a self-help guide for those who fear they or thier family are ill (or you could ring your friendly Island Medical Centre!). Information on access to health care does not apply to Alderney.
